The oral tradition of architecture is the online distribution of modern video-game levels. As in corporeal architecture, strict sets of technical, aesthetic and practical constraints shape the ongoing development of each game's worlds. It is in this spirit that the Anti-Fun League offers the Net this collection of network-play levels for Marathon Infinity.

Ready to Serve

The first of an ongoing series of levels named in honor of Warcraft II. A compact, strongly-imagined and smooth-flowing arena in the Mars Needs Women tradition. Also optimal for King of the Hill and Kill the Man with the Ball.

Players: 2-6

Secrets: some, obvious

Weapons: no TOZT

Modes: all

Space Popcorn

This level draws inspiration from the pre-ride areas in Space Mountain at Walt Disney World; however, the mysteriously-named Space Popcorn takes a shape of its own. Try the TandemDeath[TM] Teleporter for... well, we've said too much already.

Secrets: some, obvious - obscure

Weapons: no flechette

The Aubie Dome (crossover)

Aubie likes to name all of his levels The Aubie Dome; he has graciously added secondary titles for clarity's sake. Crossover is a spacious level reminiscent of Controlled by Gamma Light, but spinning everything up with the 5-D craziness.

Players: 2-8

Secrets: some, obvious

Weapons: no flechette, no TOZT

Modes: no KotH

LSD in the Water Supply

An extremely tight, goofy King of the Hill idea. The hill is only reachable via the teleporters at the bottom of the water, and the bottom of the water is not reachable without impairing your senses somewhat. We dare you to play it with 8.

La Petite Carnagerie

A first effort, partially inspired by an old Car Wars map, and by some vague thoughts about the Paranoia RPG. It often seems that all arenas are either square or round; here's one that's oblong. So there. Also features some interesting recharger dynamics.

Step Aside, Junior

It's another silly King of the Hill level, loosely based on a dream. The screenshots tell most of the story. There are many ways onto the hill... all of them, er, similar. If you don't think it's 100% pure adrenaline, then it's probably not 100% Pure Java either.
