I’ve gone ahead and made an RSS slurper for The Believer’s Idea Share web column. It’s legally questionable, as well as an ugly hack that will probably fall apart as soon as they so much as breathe on their HTML, but still. The world needs it.
People who haven’t checked out Idea Share should really have a look – it’s like LazyWeb for everything (and everyone) outside the blogosphere.

Tetris has been implemented as an extension for Mozilla Firebird. Who says XUL was a waste of development time, eh?
In more serious news, Netscape ceased meaningfully to exist today. My time at AOL was, as I was sadly reminded every time I got a paycheck, time at AOL, and yet it felt good to pull into a parking lot that said Netscape on it. One love to my peoples still toiling away on Middlefield; let’s pour a little bit out tonight for the homie that ain’t here.

So my brother’s old boss, a very cool guy named Joel, sends this email today. He’s announcing his new web application. Now, that’s one thing right there, that someone can just kind of make a web application and email his friends to tell them about it, like he just put up a page about his cats. My how the world has changed, blah blah et cetera.
Here’s the app: Answerbag, “a universal, user-generated set of frequently-asked questions” and “a compilation of human knowledge and experience.”
